FIAT Relays for Life

This year Heritage Fiat is a sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life and will be making several event appearances throughout the year. Relay for Life is a 12-hour (from sunset to sunrise) walk that is usually done in teams. Walkers are allowed to take rests, but at least one walker for each team has to be on the track at all times.

Our first event was kicked off last night at the Westminster Agricultural Center. A Fiat 500 was at the entrance to greet all participates as they arrived. Inside, walkers could purchase raffle tickets to win their very own Fiat 500 and all ticket proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

The opening ceremonies begun at 7pm with announcements and awards given for fundraising successes. The first lap around the center was completed by all of the survivors holding candles to kick off the night. Following the survivors were the children for their lap and finally all other supporters.

Heritage Fiat will be at in Anne Arundel County at Old Mill High School next Friday, May 20th at 6pm. Come out and support the ACS and get in on your chance to win a new 2011 Fiat 500!
